RESELLER GUIDE

Last updated on Jan 22, 2026

This document provides a structured troubleshooting guide for resellers assisting customers with difficulties in running the third-party optimization utility for the games Arc Raider and Rust. Following these steps will ensure an efficient and standardized technical support process.

1. Arc Raider Specific Troubleshooting

1.1. Platform Compatibility

The utility is officially supported only on the Steam platform. While it may function on other platforms (such as the Epic Games Store), technical support is not guaranteed.

  • Action: Always confirm the customer's platform. If the customer is not using Steam, platform incompatibility is the most likely cause. Suggest the acquisition of a Steam account for use.

1.2. Menu Display Failure or Feature Inactivity

If the customer is on Steam, but the menu is not displaying or the features are not working, follow the optimized launch procedure.

Optimized Launch Procedure

Opera 1. Download and install the Opera browser > Opera Browser - Download and install.
2. Access Task Manager, navigate to the "Startup apps" tab, and disable all applications.
3. Restart the computer.
4. Open Opera and keep it running.
5. Open the utility loader and execute the injection process (wait for the "HANDLE SUCCESSFULLY SENT" confirmation message).
6. Open the game and test. |

Overwolf 1. Download and install Overwolf > Overwolf - Download and install.
2. Access Task Manager, navigate to the "Startup apps" tab, and disable all applications.
3. Restart the computer.
4. Ensure all game launchers (EA, Steam, BNET) are completely closed.
5. Open Overwolf and disable all its overlays. Minimize it to the system tray.
6. Open the utility loader as administrator and execute the injection process (wait for the "HANDLE SUCCESSFULLY SENT" confirmation message).
7. Open Steam and launch the game. |

Visual Resources:

Note: Correct execution of these steps may also resolve Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) issues that occur upon starting the utility.

2. Security Software Conflict Verification

Improper disabling of system security software, such as Windows Defender, is a common cause of failures and crashes.

2.1. Windows Defender Status Check

The customer must verify if the Windows Defender filter is correctly disabled.

  1. Run Command Prompt as administrator.

  2. Type the command: sc query wdfilter and press Enter.

Service Status/Recommended Action

RUNNING > Windows Defender is not properly disabled. Direct the customer to the appropriate disabling guide > How to disable Windows Defender properly and suggest the use of the Defender Control tool > Defender Control tool link

STOPPED > Windows Defender is correctly disabled.

3. Overlay and System Optimization Conflicts

Enabled overlays, outdated GPU drivers, and certain Windows features can cause instability. The customer should disable the following features:

4. Rust Specific Troubleshooting

For the utility to work with the game Rust, it is essential that the customer disables virtualization in the system's BIOS.

4.1. Virtualization Disabled, Menu Absent

If virtualization is disabled, but the menu is still not displaying, follow the procedure with the third-party utility (rave.io).

  1. Download and install the rave.io utility > rave.io - Download and install

  2. Access Task Manager, navigate to the "Startup apps" tab, and disable all applications.

  3. Restart the computer.

  4. Open the rave.io software and minimize it (creating an account is not necessary).

  5. Open the utility loader and execute the injection process.

5. Conclusion and Support Escalation

If the customer confirms having followed all steps correctly and the issues persist, it may indicate the presence of unidentified conflicting background software.

  • Action: At this point, the reseller must contact higher-level technical support for an in-depth analysis of the processes running on the customer's system.
